Sabbatical Day 48

Yesterday we shopped in Wayne because the blue laws are still on the books in Bergen County.  Stopped by Macy’s and bought a suit for zero dollars.  After the discounts and applying Macy’s Plentii points, I got a Bernie special, a free suit.  What a country.

Read some essay by Nobel Laureate in Economics Joseph Stiglitz, a devotee of Keynesian economics.  Started reading Hunter Lewis’s book, Where Keynes Went Wrong.  Knowing Keynes’s work helps you understand where today’s mainstream economists are coming from.  For them, it’s all about aggregate demand.
