Fake News on ABC Tonight!

On ABC’s nightly news broadcast anchor David Muir did a story about the sentencing of Bill Baroni and Bridget Kelly for their roles in the Bridgegate scandal.  In his report Muir said the two former Christie appointees (Kelly as deputy chief of staff in the governor’s office and Baroni as deputy executive director of the Port Authority) who were sentenced to 18 months and two years respectively today for “shutting down” the George Washington Bridge.  The GWB was not shut down.  One of the three toll booths on the upper level of the bridge devoted to Fort Lee was closed causing the massive traffic jam in September 2013.

Why didn’t Muir get the story right?
