Yes America, the Supreme Court decided in a 5-4 decision to uphold Obamacare. The Court ruled that the federal government can force you to purchase something you may not want and compel you to pay a penalty (the Obama administration’s argument) if you don’t and still be constitutional because it is a tax (the SCOTUS rationale).
In other words, the SCOTUS rejected the Obama administration’s argument for the individual mandate and substituted its own to uphold the Affordable Care Act. This may be the first time in the history of jurisprudence that a court rejected a defendant’s argument and still found for the defendant using its own “logic.”
This decision will go down in infamy as the last nail in the coffin of the federal government’s assault on the American peoples’s individual liberty. And yet the cheers could be heard throughout the land by the statists who worship at the altar of authoritarianism. That’s why not only is “taxation is the power” to destroy (individual liberty) but the “income tax is the root of all evil.”

Government in all its forms is a combination of the Mafia, a drug pusher, Willie Sutton, and Attila the Hun. In short, humanity would be much better off if government just withered away and was replaced with peaceful human relationships. Until that day arrives, we must speak out against the egregious behavior by all branches of government. Today we witnessed the end of one era in America and the birth of a new one—the beginning of the battle to restore individual liberty. Every freedom loving individual in America will have to do his or her part to restore liberty throughout the land.
